Splash Coins is the data controller for any personal data you provide when you register, deposit, play or contact our support team. We take that responsibility seriously and we hold ourselves to the data protection standards that apply in the regulated markets where we operate, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) in Canada and equivalent provincial privacy legislation such as Quebec's Law 25.
The personal data we collect falls into four categories. The first is account data: the information you provide when you register, including your name, date of birth, email address and phone number. The second is payment data: the deposit and withdrawal methods you use, including masked card details and any e-wallet or crypto wallet identifiers. The third is gameplay data: the record of the games you have played, the bets you have placed and the outcomes. The fourth is contact data: the record of any conversation you have with our support team, including chat transcripts and email correspondence.
Why we collect each type of data
Account data is collected so we can open and run your account and so we can meet our anti-money laundering and know-your-customer obligations under applicable Canadian and international law. Payment data is collected so we can process your deposits and withdrawals safely and so we can verify that payment methods belong to you. Gameplay data is collected to operate the games, calculate your loyalty rewards and meet the record-keeping requirements of our gaming regulator. Contact data is collected so we can respond to you and maintain a record of any decisions we have made about your account.
We collect only the data that is necessary for these purposes. We do not collect sensitive personal information beyond what is required for identity verification, and we do not build advertising profiles based on your gameplay. The principle of data minimization guides every decision about what we ask you to provide when you sign up or when we ask for additional verification documents.
How long we hold your data
We hold your data for as long as your account is active and for a further five years after you close it, in line with anti-money laundering record-keeping rules in our licensing jurisdiction. Some categories of data, such as gameplay history, are anonymized after the retention period and may be kept in aggregate form for analysis. If you would like a copy of your data or you would like us to delete it, please contact our support team. We will respond within thirty days as required under PIPEDA.
Who we share your data with
We share your data with payment processors so we can move money in and out of your account, with the game studios so they can serve the games to you, with our regulator so we can meet our licence conditions and with law enforcement if we are legally required to do so. We do not sell your data, we do not share it for marketing purposes with anyone outside the Splash Coins group and we do not use it for any purpose other than the ones described in this policy. Where we transfer data outside Canada, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place in line with PIPEDA requirements.
Your rights under PIPEDA
Under PIPEDA and applicable provincial privacy law, you have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to request correction of inaccurate information, to withdraw your consent to certain uses of your data and to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you believe your privacy rights have been violated. To make any of these requests, contact our support team. We will not charge a fee for a standard access request and will respond within thirty days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can escalate your complaint to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.

What personal data does Splash Coins collect?
We collect the personal data you provide when you register and play, including your name, date of birth, email address, phone number, masked payment details, gameplay history and any conversations with our support team. We collect only what is necessary to operate your account, process your payments and meet our legal obligations as a regulated gambling operator. We do not build advertising profiles or sell your data to third parties. Our data practices are governed by PIPEDA and applicable provincial privacy legislation in Canada.
How is my data protected?
Your data is encrypted in transit between your device and our servers and at rest on our systems. We use bank-grade encryption standards and follow the security practices required by our licensing jurisdiction. Access to personal data inside the company is restricted to staff who need it for their role, and every access is logged. We run regular penetration tests and security audits to ensure our defences are current. Any data transfers outside Canada are subject to appropriate contractual safeguards in line with PIPEDA.
How do I access or delete my data?
Under PIPEDA you have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate and to request deletion once your account is closed and the legal retention period has passed. Contact our support team at any time to make a request. We will respond within thirty days and we will not charge you for a standard request. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can escalate to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
Do you share my data with third parties?
We share your data with payment processors, game studios, our regulator and law enforcement when legally required. We do not sell your data or share it for marketing purposes outside the Splash Coins group. Where data is transferred outside Canada we apply appropriate safeguards consistent with PIPEDA. The full list of recipient categories is in this privacy policy, and our support team is happy to answer specific questions about any particular third party relationship if you have concerns.
